- Each standard steak is approx. 3-4 pounds & 2-3 inches thick
- Each large steak is approx. 4.25-5 pounds and 3-4 inches thick
- Each small steak is approx. 2.25-2.99 pounds and 2.5-3 inches thick

This might be the best steak I have ever eaten. I prepared the steak by first generously salting it on both sides one hour before cooking. Since the steak was very thick (about 3 inches) I cooked it using the reverse sear method which means that I built a two zone fire and cooked it on indirect heat until the steak reached about 110 degrees internal temperature. I then cooked it on direct heat until it reached 130 degrees internal temperature using a Grill Grate to avoid flare-ups and make an attractive pattern on the steak. The results were amazing!! The steak was VERY tender and had a wonderful, rich, beefy flavor. The steak fed four adults and two teenagers. The best endorsement for this steak is the fact that I have already ordered another one. BTW, I have eaten several different steaks from Double 8 Cattle and I have been VERY happy with all of them.
Hands down the best tomahawk steak I’ve ever had. The big one fed three of us and we all agreed it was the best ever!!
