A lean and flavorful cut, the Fullblood Wagyu eye of round roast comes from the round primal. It is one of our favorite cuts for smoking, slow cooking, and making roast beef. The eye of round roast is an economical choice and perfect for family gatherings during the holidays or other special occasions! When cooked slowly in an environment that allows it to retain its moisture, this cut is juicy, tender, and sure to impress the most discerning palate.

The Fullblood Wagyu beef eye of round roast is a lean and flavorful cut. It is a perfect cut to slow-cook or roast to make your favorite roast beef dishes. If cutting into steaks, the eye of round roast is ideal for marinating, then grilling or cooking in a skillet.

Recommended Internal Cooking Temps:
Rare - 120°-125°
Medium Rare - 130°-135°
Medium - 140°-145°
Medium Well - 150°-155°
Well Done - 160° and above
Orders are processed Monday through Wednesday for Tuesday through Friday delivery, excluding holidays, based on shipping method selected at checkout. Orders placed after 3:00PM EST will ship the next eligible business day. We do not ship on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday and orders cannot be delivered on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday.

PACKAGING: Each frozen and individually vacuum sealed product is carefully packed with dry ice and/or gel packs. Orders will be delivered frozen or slightly thawed (but still cold) depending on the time in transit.

Delicious Pot Roast

This might be the best pot roast I have ever cooked and eaten. I seared the roast on all sides, added onions, garlic and carrots, a tablespoon of flour a bottle of red wine and some soy sauce to the roast in a slow cooker. I then slow cooked the roast on “Low” for 8 hours. The results were superior; VERY tasty and meltingly tender. Thanks Double 8 Cattle for once again selling me the best meat I have ever eaten.

Superb Pot Roast

Yesterday evening my wife and I had guests to our home for dinner. I decided to cook an Eye of Round Roast in the slow cooker. First, I browned the roast, then I softened onions, carrots and garlic in the slow cooker. I then added a heaping tablespoon of flour to the vegetables and added dry red wine and some soy sauce to the vegetables and flour. I stirred this mixture thoroughly, salted and peppered the roast and returned the roast to the to the slow cooker. I put the slow cooker on "Low" and left it undisturbed for 7 hours. After 7 hours, the roast was delicious and meltingly tender. Once again, Double 8 Cattle company, you outdid yourself. We all agreed that it was one of the best pot roasts we have ever eaten. In case you are wondering, the roast weighed 4.90 pounds and fed six people comfortably

Best Bresaola

So I brined it with a bunch of spices and then dried it to about 65% weight loss in an umai bag over about 2.5 months. It made the best bresaola I've ever made or even tasted.
