Made burgers last night, smoked then grilled on our Traeger. Magnificent. Though there was a difference between this A5 variety and the homegrown Double 8 wagyu, I wouldn’t say it was all that much better for the cost. We will be purchasing the Double 8 wagyu instead of A5 next time, it is just as satisfying!
D8’s regular wagyu hamburger is better than any other hamburger meat I’ve tried by a substantial margin. My boys and I have been on a quest to eat the best hamburger in existence. We thought the “normal” wagyu was it........then you started selling this Miyazaki beef. So I bought a pound and some more of the regular wagyu to do a taste test. After grilling them we took a bite of your wagyu, still really good. Then a bite of the A5 burger, holy smoke! What intense beef flavor. This is my new best hamburger by a margin. Though it’s pricey, i’ll be buying it a few times a year for special occasions. It doesn’t have a regular hamburger consistency, it bites through like butter. If you can deal with that, you really should try this at least once, you’ll be amazed. The picture I attached shows the A5 on the left side. The fat in it started to melt immediately and cause flames to lick up around it.
