Part of the short loin and the “diamond” of the tenderloin, the filet mignon is arguably the most tender cut of Fullblood Wagyu beef. Embodying the melt-in-your-mouth quality with beautiful marbling, the filet mignon is the ideal steak for the most discerning palate!

Best cooked quickly and over direct heat, the filet mignon’s tenderness and rich flavor are best highlighted when the steak is cooked to a medium-rare or medium doneness.

Recommended Internal Cooking Temps:
Rare - 120°-125°
Medium Rare - 130°-135°
Medium - 140°-145°
Medium Well - 150°-155°
Well Done - 160° and above

This Product Ships Frozen

Orders are processed Monday through Wednesday, excluding holidays. Orders placed after 3:00pm EST will ship the next eligible business day. Orders placed after 3:00pm EST on Wednesdays will ship the following Monday, excluding holidays. When your order is shipped, you will receive an email notification with a link to track the status of your shipment.

PACKAGING:

Each frozen and individually vacuum sealed product is carefully packed into a cardboard box lined with eco-friendly insulation. In order to maintain the integrity of the package contents, all beef products are packed with dry ice and/or gel packs. Orders will be delivered frozen or slightly thawed depending on the time in transit.

ORDER PLACEMENT AND SHIPPING OPTIONS:

Orders placed on Monday (all day), Tuesday (all day), or Wednesday (before 3:00 PM EST) - Customers may select Overnight, Express or Standard Shipping.

Orders placed on Wednesday afternoon (after 3:00 PM EST) or Thursday (before 3:00 PM EST) - Customers may select Overnight Shipping.
Express and Standard Shipping is NOT available due to the carrier limitations and transit times leading into the weekend and may not ship until the following Monday.

Orders placed on Thursday afternoon (after 3:00 PM EST), Friday (all day), Saturday (all day), or Sunday (all day) - Customers may select any Shipping option, but your order will not be shipped until the following Monday.

PLEASE NOTE: Shipping may be interrupted or delayed due to Federal holidays. If this occurs, your order will be shipped on the next available business day.

    The best steak I have ever made at home/eaten to date. Flavor was out of this world........ The tenderness... you don't need a knife. WE WILL be ordering a lot of these when they're available.

    We have purchased now both imported and American-raised Wagyu, and we are happy to report that we loved our Double 8 Cattle Wagyu! Rich, buttery flavor, beautiful marbling, and a great price for very special occasion beef! We loved it!

    Good, but no different than prime cut tenderloin.

    I wanted to try the Wagyu experience. When I found out a butcher was only a few hours away I placed an order for one of the fillets and a ribeye. When I received the steaks, they were flash frozen solid. After thawing and allowing to come to room temp, they were seasoned, grilled on high heat, and removed at 135*F and rested for 5 minutes. The meat was tender and the flavor was great. However I don’t understand the hype. For me, prime cut tenderloin is much, much cheaper, has a similar cut feel and tenderness and flavor was almost as good. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good cut of beef, but 63 dollars worth is questionable. In my opinion, tasty, cool to experience but honestly the richness and the hype wasn’t there for me. Prime cut tenderloin is just as good and a fraction of the price per piece. If you are on the fence, it’s worth a try but understand what you’re getting won’t be life changing. My feelings are very similar for the ribeye. The 16oz ribeye was 73 dollars and again, prime cuts being a fraction of the cost, taste almost as good. For me it’s about balancing value for what you get. Worthy of a special occasion, but you can forget a monthly purchase or a subscription. Prime cuts from a local butcher are the way to go.

    The steak cooked beautifully and tasted even better than it looked. It was the best Filet Mignon I've ever had.
