Significant in size and marbling, the Fullblood Wagyu beef flat iron steak is cut from a flat muscle off the shoulder. Juicy, flavorful, uniform in thickness, and easy to prepare, this steak can easily stand alone or serve as the pièce de résistance of a multi-ingredient dish.

Due to natural variations in our cattle, shape, size, and/or weight of individual cuts may vary. It is normal to see slight variations in color depending on both the type of product and the aging process.

The flat iron steak can be cut into smaller steaks, seared and cooked in a cast-iron skillet or cook the full cut on the grill. We suggest marinating the Wagyu beef flat iron prior to cooking, to start the process of softening the muscle fibers. We find it is best when cooked to a medium doneness.

Recommended Internal Cooking Temps:
Rare - 120°-125°
Medium Rare - 130°-135°
Medium - 140°-145°
Medium Well - 150°-155°
Well Done - 160° and above
Orders are processed Monday through Wednesday for Tuesday through Friday delivery, excluding holidays, based on shipping method selected at checkout. Orders placed after 3:00PM EST will ship the next eligible business day. We do not ship on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday and orders cannot be delivered on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday.

PACKAGING: Each frozen and individually vacuum sealed product is carefully packed with dry ice and/or gel packs. Orders will be delivered frozen or slightly thawed (but still cold) depending on the time in transit.


Orders placed on Monday (all day) and Tuesday (all day) - Customers may select Overnight, 2-Day, 3-Day or Standard Ground Shipping.

Orders placed on Wednesday (before 3:00 PM EST)- Customers may select Overnight or 2-Day Shipping. * 3-Day and Standard Ground Shipping selections may not ship until the following Monday due to time in transit. *

Best Flat iron!

I ordered 4 of the flat irons. They weighed between 2.3 and 2.7lbs. All of the displayed great marbling. They were not as tender of smaller ones i have had, but i think thats a trade off for a larger more deeply marbled cut of meat. To be fair on the second one i made, the center was a little on the rare side, which was cook's error not the meat. Amazing value. Perfect for a dinner party, or steak salad the next day :). I have tried other sites and had some from my local butcher. These are the best hands down. 100% full blood wagyu is the real deal. I will be buying them again.

Damn is this even steak?1

I’m in trouble, I fed this to my children and now the bar has been set. The best steak I’ve had and it was the worst cut usually. I’m definitely going to order the a5 ribeye next. So glad I found you! This was my dad’s favorite cut and he passed away on the 25th right before thanksgiving. We celebrated his life and cooked the steak. Four days later we celebrated the conception of our 6th child. This is our party steak and you are the provider!

Best Flat Iron I’ve Ever Had

Not only is this one of the best bang-for-your-buck cuts that Double 8 offers, it’s also one of the most delicious. The cut of meat is also very large. The pictures below are of just half of it. I’ve already ordered another!

I am not beef crazy. I had waguy at few restaurants and I loved it. When I came across this web side I wanted to bring the waguy test back home. I ordered 4 of those steaks. It easy and fast to cook and really it melts in your mouth. The meat is so natural, all I added was pink salt and some rosemary when I prepared it. I know I will be buying more again.

I have ordered Chuck steak, flank steak and flat iron steak from them. Great Quality for the price. Have to remember this is not supermarket steaks.
